Die Cutter Operator and Trainee Die Cutter Operator | Corrugated | East Sussex | Up to £33,000 Nights/Evening Shifts
A leading packaging supplier that designs, manufactures and delivers corrugated cardboard boxes and a full range of packaging solutions from standard boxes to bespoke, custom-printed packaging and protective packing materials. Serving a wide variety of clients, from large national brands to small businesses and start-ups, offering flexible order sizes, fast delivery, and tailored packaging to suit different product types and shipping or storage needs.
You will be responsible for:
- Setting up die cutting machinery at the beginning of each shift to ensure good working order
- Testing product quality throughout the run and optimising throughput to achieve production targets.
- Monitoring machines during every run to maintain optimum running speeds
- Maintaining, cleaning and recalibrating machines at the end of each shift
- Operating pallet jacks and other production equipment safely
Key attributes required:
- Previous production experience is required, and experience within a packaging environment would be a bonus
- Familiarity with DC5 machines, YSF or Weipong equipment is advantageous, but full training will be provided so it’s not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and strong awareness of quality standards
- Good maths skills and ability to calculate measurements accurately
- Flexibility and willingness to work alternative shifts from time to time
- Good understanding and commitment to health & safety
