Job Purpose:
To develop and implement a sales strategy and budget for a division/multi-site business which successfully wins and keeps customers by utilising the strengths of the business and creates sustainable growth, profit and return on capital employed.
Scope:
Financial
* Medium Under £50 million
* Large £50 million and over
* Direct reports 3-6
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute as a member of the Group/Multi Site Management Team to the optimal running of the business
* Analyse and understand the market, customers, competitors and new business opportunities in order that the business can utilise this market assessment to adapt/enhance its product or service or price offering to maximise growth and profitability
* Implement agreed strategies and sales tactics through the business sales team by drawing up plans, budgets and monitoring systems
* Review and take action on management information to ensure the business objectives are met
* Develop and maintain professional customer relationships to improve the flow of communication, mutual understanding and loyalty to the business
* Monitor and improve customer service in the most effective manner
* Provide accurate short, medium and long term forecasts as necessary to support business plans and decisions
* Recruit, develop and maintain a sales team, which meets current and future business needs

* 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
