Gluing Operator | Cartons | Essex | £35k

Specialists in designing, printing, and manufacturing a wide range of carton-board packaging, including cartons, sleeves, blister cards, and rigid boxes. It provides in-house finishing options such as embossing, foiling, lamination (including biodegradable alternatives), and spot UV to enhance product presentation. Services span from concept development and prototyping through to full production and project management, offering customers an end-to-end solution.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting up gluing/folding machines for production runs to produce high quality folded cartons

• Operating and monitoring machines to ensure consistent output

• Conducting quality checks on cartons for alignment, glue, folding, and finish

• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning, reporting major faults as needed

• Collaborating with quality assurance, finishing, and production teams for smooth workflow and timely completion

Key attributes required:

• A high level of attention to detail, a keen eye for spotting defects or misalignments to ensure only top-quality cartons

• Comfortable working with machinery, with the ability to make minor adjustments and troubleshoot basic issues

• Problem-solving skills, able to take initiative to resolve issues quickly and effectively

• Consistent reliability & punctuality

• Able to deal with the pressure of keeping production running smoothly
