Field Service Engineer | Packaging Machinery | South UK | £40k-£50k

You will be responsible for:

• Travelling to customer sites across the region to deliver on-site technical support, installations, servicing, and breakdown response

• Installing and setting up equipment such as labelling machines, sleeving machines and other automation solutions to ensure full operational readiness

• Maintaining accurate service records, job reports, and documentation for internal systems and customer communication

• Working closely with the internal engineering, production, and parts teams to coordinate installations, order components, and update service records

• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control-system faults, carrying out repairs, adjustments, and component replacements as required

Key attributes required:

• Strong background in machine maintenance or machine field service, with hands-on experience working on complex mechanical and electrical systems

• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities, able to identify issues quickly and implement effective technical solutions

• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and machine documentation

• Confidence working independently on customer sites with minimal supervision

• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, machinery updates, and control systems
