General Manager | Secondary Packaging | West Midlands | £110k – £120k

As General Manager you will be responsible for:

• Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing team to achieve excellent results
• Managing daily operations while being actively involved in strategic planning and execution
• Overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are at peak operational performance and integrate innovative technological solutions
• Fostering a ‘can-do’ attitude within the team, encouraging proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement

Key attributes required:

• Proven experience in the packaging industry. Knowledge of the technical aspects of secondary packaging production desirable, market trends, and the regulatory environment is essential
• Experience in managing staff across different levels of production, overseeing performance, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
• Demonstrated ability to streamline production processes, enhance productivity, and ensure the quality of the final products. Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies beneficial
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with a proven track record of successfully implementing business strategies
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and an aptitude for adapting to change and problem solving technological advancements in machinery and production techniques
