As Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for:
- Advising and assisting site management teams on safety related issues
- Undertake site inspections ensuring that agreed policies and processes are being correctly adhered to
- Keeping up to date with current and new required legislation
- Following audits and inspections, creating action plans/improvements that are reasonable and presenting to the site General Manager
Key attributes required:
- IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum and NEBOSH General Certificate desirable
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in areas of health and safety and environmental
- Ability to work with auditing tools and reporting
- Competent in reviewing risk assessments and accompanying Safe Operating Procedures considering and identify reasonable solutions on how risks can be eradicated, reduced or controlled
- Liaison and assistance with regulatory authorities, such the Health and Safety Executive to ensure compliance with mandatory regulations and assist in any investigations as required
